Architecture Analyst

  • Develop and execute architecture strategies, feasibility studies, and integration analyses with minimal oversight. 
  • Develop network and technical architectures for moderate to simple client/server and mainframe applications. 
  • Gather and define architecture requirements and ensure that the architectures are compatible and in compliance with the appropriate IT organization and project standards.
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise information technology efforts, including application architecture development and implementation projects.
  • Support the architecture and development of a specific IT area or system in upholding enterprise-level architecture standards.
  • Prepares and utilizes project plans for significant IT development, enhancement and maintenance efforts.
  • Communicates regularly with internal and external customers.


  • At least 10 years information technology experience and 2 years technical leadership experience.
  • 5 or more years with collaboration software, such as MS Project, SharePoint, Jira.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • VA and/or Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working on CMMI Level 3 programs.
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Experience in designing enterprise applications.
  • Experience as Chief Architect.
  • Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (MFL).
  • Expert IT knowledge in areas of application development, standards applications, documentation, security and Hardware.
  • Experience with agile/SCRUM lifecycle management.
  • Ability to estimate and measure a project’s velocity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without losing ability to multi-task.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative, observant and articulate.
  • May require some work beyond standard hours.
