Financial Analyst

  • Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget for large and/or complex programs.
  • Conducts detailed financial analysis.  
  • Recommends procedures to be used to monitor programs, organizations or proposals.
  • Interprets and implements most proposal estimating, pricing and documentation requirements.
  • Performs profit analysis and forecast.
  • Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control.
  • Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget.
  • Help perform financial risk analysis, understand and communicate this.
  • Advising the program manager and the team in financial issues.

Qualifications

  • 6 or more years experience as a financial analyst.
  • 3 or more years with PeopleSoft financial system.
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal Acquisition Rules (FAR) and federal contracts and accounting practices. 
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Work well as a member of a large team, collaboration on efforts such as pricing / RFP responses. 
  • Excellent communication skills, as will be required to interact on many levels of organization.
  • Can exercise strong judgment in seeing the big picture, handling stakeholder politics and interactions, and recommending solutions for areas that are not explicitly clear.
