Funactional Area Analyst (Mid/Sr)

  • Detects inefficiencies or conflicts in systems and processes and help to identify effective improvements.
  • Facilitates communications between customers, SMEs and Technical staff.
  • Participates in various testing functions to verify that results are correct
  • Assists in gathering information from users, defining issues in order to design systems and procedures for process improvement.
  • Researches, identifies, and recommends resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Analyzes factors and components of systems to recommend and institute changes to increase efficiency
  • Assists in planning studies of work problems and procedures, such as organizational changes, communication, information flow, integrated production methods, or cost analysis. Assist in the interpretation of problems, setting of priorities and the development of correction strategies.
  • Performs systematic review of selected functions to determine application and design of systems or process models.
  • Prepares models of problem areas in the form of one of several equations. Utilizes mathematical models and management plans.

  • Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solutions.
  • Assists in writing and updating project documentation including specification manuals, system procedures, presentations, and training materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4-8 years of related work experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with agile/SCRUM lifecycle management
  • Experience with agile tools such as Jira and Greenhopper, automatic build and configuration management systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of current business process definition and reengineering, and testing concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
