Junior Systems Analyst

  • Analyze existing systems and the definition, design and development of new system requirements. 
  • Analyze client needs to determine systems requirements as they apply to the client's information systems. 
  • Perform requirements analysis for general users of office automation. 
  • Participate in the determination of system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. 
  • Apply activity and data modeling transaction flow analysis; internal control and risk analysis; modern business methods; and performance measurement techniques. 
  • Assist in establishing standards for information system procedures. 
  • Conduct and participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the project life cycle. 
  • Review client requirements and participate in client problem-solving and in the recommendation process for systems development and implementation. 

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years information technology experience.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • VA and/or Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with agile/SCRUM lifecycle management
  • Experience working on CMMI Level 3 programs
  • Ability to participate in client problem-solving and in the recommendation development process.
  • Ability to understand an organization’s business workflows.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex information simply and accurately.

Senior Systems Analyst

  • Independently perform complex analysis of existing systems for compliance with system requirements. 
  • Elicit, analyze, prioritize, and decompose client needs to determine systems requirements as they apply to the client's information systems. 
  • Facilitate joint application design (JAD) sessions with stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Implement computer systems in a phased approach of requirements analysis and conceptual design, site survey, system design review, critical design review, installation, integration, and testing with minimal oversight. 
  • Analyze existing systems and define, design and develop new integrated system requirements. 
    Determines system specifications, input/ output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.   
    Perform requirements analysis for a wide range of users in areas of healthcare and benefits process automation. 
  • Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system. 
  • Apply activity and data modeling transaction flow and business process flow analysis; internal control and risk analysis; modern business methods; and performance measurement techniques. 
  • Communicates regularly with internal and external customers.
  • Lead junior systems analysts.
  • Conduct peer and quality reviews of peer and junior analysts work products and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years information technology experience.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • VA and/or Healthcare IT experience
  • Experience with agile/SCRUM lifecycle management
  • Experience working on CMMI Level 3 programs
  • UML Modeling experience.
  • Ability to lead client problem-solving and the recommendation development process.
